Who we are
FinnTech SEO Reporter is a reporting service for agencies and freelancers, operated from New Zealand. It generates monthly search-performance reports for websites that our customers manage on behalf of their clients. Questions about this policy go to hello@finntech.nz.
What we collect
Your account. Your email address, used to sign you in with emailed links and to send you the service’s own messages. There are no passwords.
The site data you connect. For each client site you add, we collect the data needed to write its reports: search performance data from Google Search Console (with read-only access you grant), page speed measurements from Google PageSpeed Insights, search ranking positions from our data provider, and the results of a technical crawl of the site’s public pages. This is data about websites and search results, not about the people who visit those websites.
Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and plan, plus the card brand and last four digits so the billing page can show which card is on file. Full card details go to Stripe and never to us.
What we do with it
We use this data to generate and deliver your reports, to run and troubleshoot the service, and for nothing else. We do not sell data, share it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning models.
Google user data
FinnTech SEO Reporter requests the narrowest Search Console access Google offers: the read-only webmasters.readonly scope. The data retrieved with it is used only to generate the reports you have asked for. The tokens that hold this access are encrypted at rest and are never shown to anyone, including you. Disconnecting a site revokes our access.
FinnTech SEO Reporter’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The writing in your reports
The narrative in each report is drafted with Anthropic’s Claude API. What we send it is the aggregated search data described above: keywords, pages, positions and traffic numbers for the site in question. Anthropic’s commercial API terms do not permit our data to be used for training their models.
Who processes data for us
The service runs on a small set of processors, each doing one job: Vercel (hosting and report storage), a managed Postgres provider (our database), Google (Search Console and PageSpeed data), DataForSEO (search ranking data), Anthropic (report narratives), Resend (email delivery) and Stripe (payments). Some of these process data outside New Zealand, principally in the United States.
Retention and deletion
We keep report data while the client it belongs to is active, so that each report can compare against the previous period. Archiving a client stops all collection for it. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and everything stored under it. Report share links can be revoked at any time from your dashboard.
Cookies
One cookie, for keeping you signed in. There are no analytics or advertising trackers on this site or in the reports.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@finntech.nz and we will sort it out. If we ever change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect.
